It’s that time of the year when we all usually do the same thing.
We all commit to “resolutions” that we usually quit by February 1st.
They actually should call February 1st “Natural Quit Day”. 80% of all New Year’s Resolutions fail by February 1st.
Have you ever thought? What should or could you do differently this year?
I know on my Man of Health Journey I’m going to do things a little different this year.
I’m going to chop my overall goals into weekly and daily goals. I call them my TDLs (To Do Lists).
I believe baby steps add up. It also helps create consistency. When you create smaller goals, it allows you to see yourself completing a task.
After I complete a weekly list I like to celebrate with something like a movie or taking exactly one day off from my goals. This gives me a “recharge” so that I can push forward to the next set of goals.
So to all the Man of Health Members take this advice, Turn your “resolutions” into mini weekly and daily lists.
Once you complete weekly tasks reward yourself. This will provide consistency and gratification which will continue to motivate you.
Man of Health Journey January Goals
Inspiration
I’m being inspired by my wife right now we are about 30 days from the delivery of our 3rd child our beautiful baby girl. My wife is showing strength beyond my imagination. She is my inspiration right now. I not only see her strength, but also she is motivating me by providing me with another reason to achieve my goals.
Husband & Dad Corner
It’s almost time to welcome our 3rd mini to our squad. I have been preparing the house for our princess. I currently have two boys, so seeing everything pink is a change but I’m loving it. I am nervous but still excited.
As a dad I’m trying to find that balance between my 1 year old son and my 9 year old son. My oldest is great he is a big help around the house, but trying to find the balance in effective communication has been a work in progress. I am setting a goal of effective communication with my children.
When it comes to my wife I have one goal for our relationship. My goal support. Whatever she needs and wants. She can have it. She is bringing life into this world. Which to me is beyond awesome.
Goals for the month
I have listed a couple of my goals for my family already. Be prepared for my princess. Communicate effectively with my sons and wife. Be supportive of my wife.
When it comes to my career I am hoping to continue to reach towards my monthly income goal. I am going to get a part time job so that I can concentrate more on Man of Health.
I want to continue to work out as it helps me clear my mind. My goal is to workout 3-4 times a week (3 home based workouts and one gym per week).
