Please follow the instructions below for administering Semaglutide or Tirzepatide, as provided by Man of Health Clinic:
Prepare the Dose:
Use an insulin syringe and draw up your dosage. We usually begin with 10 units (0.25 mg) for our Semaglutide and 25 units (2.5 mg) for our tirzepatide. This corresponds with 10 units and 25 units in the insulin syringe.
Please following any instructions provided by the provider, if you were told different at your initial consultation.
Ensure that you do this one hour after your last meal of the day.
Choose the Injection Site:
Common injection sites include the abdomen and thighs. Rotate the sites with each injection to reduce the risk of lipodystrophy (rubbery swelling of the skin)
How to Administer the Injection:
- Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab and let it dry.
- Pinch the skin lightly and insert the needle at a 90-degree angle.
- Push the plunger down slowly to inject the medication.
- Wait for a few seconds before removing the needle to ensure all medication is delivered.
- Dispose of the needle safely in a sharps container.
